TEXT BOOK OF AYURVEDA A REVIEW

Ayurveda has been in practice for thousands of years. It has paved way for happier and long life. May be it is vigor improvement,sexual perfomance improvement,weight loss,fat belly losing tips with quality food and proven tips suggested by rishis all are made available for common man in texts in olden days. But due to its script being written in sanskrit it is not spread immediately across the globe.Ancient Ayurveda text books like Charaka,Vaghbata and Sushruta advocate complete remedies for many diseases and disorders of health that can be easily treated by Ayurveda without side effects.

These books contain universal principles that can be applied for many diseases to cure.The book by Dr. Vasant Lad lays ground breaking introduction to most of the uncovered practices in english Ayurveda text books. He is an Ayurveda doctor who stared his practice in 1980 in USA. He has written most popular books like Self-Healing, The Yoga of Herbs and groundbreaking introductory book on Ayurveda that easily understable to common man which includes the basic concepts of herbs that are mostly used in Ayurveda.

It describes all twenty different qualities of nature of which 5 elements, Three Doshas and other 15 of their subtypes have been described fully which include digestion and nutrition. This book elevates the western anatomy and physiology along with pathology. Many tabless and appendices on different systems have been explained fully to understand the Ayurveda and to put in daily life practice.
